Facets (aesthetic coverings) allow various cosmetic corrections to be made to teeth. In our dental clinics, we use them in the following situations: malpositions, teeth that are too short or too small, broken teeth, altered or irregular surface conditions, need to change the shade of a tooth.
The veneers are made of pure ceramic material and are bonded to the tooth. Pure ceramic has important aesthetic advantages: first of all, more than any other material, it resembles dental enamel. Slightly transparent, it is practically indistinguishable from a natural tooth, even in bright light. In addition, ceramic is well tolerated and poses no biological risk. Discolorations, such as they reappear over time after bleaching, are excluded. We must also mention the argument of longevity: ceramic veneers can sometimes “last” for up to 15 years and more, provided, of course, that you carry out regular checks – and take care of your teeth.
A veneer requires only moderate cutting: only the enamel necessary to restore the harmony of the dental architecture is removed. This minimal loss of substance has an undeniable advantage over other methods, jackets, crowns or other prostheses that require much greater grinding. Nevertheless, if the tooth concerned is too damaged or if it already has several fillings, veneers are contraindicated; in this case, a crown or a bridge (if several teeth are involved) remains the recommended solution.
The veneers are particularly stable and resistant elements, but they are not indestructible: extreme stresses, for example in the event of bruxism (grinding of teeth), can cause their deterioration. These are aspects which must be taken into account and which must be discussed with the doctor during the clinical assessment which precedes the treatment.
We manufacture our veneers in our own laboratories while also respecting the wishes and expectations of the patient: it is to take them into account that the prosthetist is present at each stage of the treatment. Color or shape - so many parameters that he can then integrate directly into the work in progress.
Special service: As a client of the dental aesthetic center, you receive a seven-year warranty on your dental prosthesis (crowns, bridges, prostheses, etc.). To do this, you must ensure that you come for a control examination in our establishment twice a year.
